Trustees Responsibilities
Boomerang Kids is a Public Limited Company by Guarantee. This means it is a registered Charity which has Trustees instead of a Committee to run the business side of the Pre-school. The Trustees must make sure that the business is sustainable and this is achieved with the help and support of the Parents and Carers of the children who attend the group.
Parent Fundraising Committee (PTA)
This is a group made up primarily of parents and carers. The fundraising committee has responsibility to raise funds as needed by the group and have an input into the settings policies and procedures.
The group meets as often as necessary, about once every half term, and discusses the needs of the pre-school with regards to additional fundraising.
The fundraising committee is a great way to meet other parents and carers and it’s great fun to be involved with a successful fundraising event, particularly when you see the money being spent!
You can commit as much or as little time as you feel able, everyone is very welcome to become part of the group and join in at any of the fundraising events held, many hands making light work!
The Constitution
Boomerang Kids has it’s own constitution, approved by the charities commission. A copy is available should you wish to read it.
Statement of Aims & Objectives
The aim of the Pre-School is to enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age, irrespective of race, culture, religion, means or ability. We do this by offering play facilities for the children and information sessions for parents as well as staff, dealing with and learning about the needs if children and their families.
